The 31-year-old pop star went through a dark time battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following the bombing of her concert at Manchester Arena in 2017 - which killed 22 people and injured more than a thousand - and she has now revealed working on that album was a form of therapy.

Ariana Grande has a lot of gratitude for Thank U, Next. While reflecting on her career in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ‘s Awards Chatter podcast, the singer-actress opened up about the therapeutic powers her smash 2019 album had during a “dark” period in her life.

Ariana is opening up about “the dark times” she experienced after a terrorist attack at her concert and the death of her ex-boyfriend. In May 2017, 22 people were killed and many more were injured when a terrorist attack took place at Ariana’s concert in Manchester.
