The man who hit and killed Connecticut state trooper Aaron Pelletier accepted a plea deal Tuesday. Alex Oyoloa-Sanchez of Hartford will serve 18 years in prison, according to NBC Connecticut. Trooper Pelletier was conducting a traffic stop on I-84 in Southington in May of 2024 when he was hit and killed.

The man who struck and killed Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier in a hit-and-run crash last May has accepted a plea deal in the case Tuesday. The deal, reached in New Britain Superior Court, will have Alex Oyola-Sanchez spend 18 years in prison.

Alex Oyola-Sanchez pleaded guilty in the hit-and-run crash that killed Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier in May on Interstate 84.
