A man was killed and a K-9 officer seriously injured after a domestic dispute call turned into a police standoff in Portage on Monday. The Maine State Police and Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to 20 Ranger Street in Portage for a report of a domestic dispute involving a woman and 29 year old Steven Righini.

PORTAGE LAKE, Maine (WGME) — A police K-9 who was injured during a standoff in northern Maine has died. A Maine deputy was also shot before the suspect died after being shot by police on Monday.
