Sheldon Williams was pretty good, too. The big man is by far Duke's best shot blocker (422), and he is the program's leading rebounder (1,262), too.

Sporting News compiled a list of the 25 best college basketball players who did not win a national championship in the expanded bracket era, which began in 1984-85. That means LSU's Pete Maravich, Indiana State's Larry Bird and Houston's Hakeem Olajuwon – who went by Akeem then – did not make this list.
