The PCB finally placed the Indian flag in Karachi after facing backlash for not putting up the tricolour flag at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.

Fans observed that the tricolour of India was absent from the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday, despite the presence of the flags of all seven of the other Champions Trophy teams.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore has been completely renovated in time for the Champions Trophy, and will be inaugurated on February 7.

On the eve of the Champions Trophy's opening match, the Indian tricolor was finally seen flying at Karachi's National Stadium. This came after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) faced heavy criticism when a viral video from Gaddafi Stadium showed flags of all participating nations except India.

With a seating capacity of 34,000-plus, the Gadaffi stadium in Lahore is the biggest stadium in Lahore. The stadium will be hosting 4 matches during the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, including the semi-final 2.
