President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order on the cryptocurrency industry, in a long-awaited move that appears to meet some industry demands.

The executive order directs the government to propose a regulatory framework and explore the creation of a digital asset stockpile.

He is expected to sign executive orders to elevate crypto to a national policy priority and form a Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets.
