Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa was placed on the seven-day concussion injured list Friday, a day after he collided with center fielder Byron Buxton in pursuit of a shallow fly ball.Buxton had entered concussion protocol after Minnesota's 4-0 victory at Baltimore on Thursday and also was held out of the Twins' lineup Friday for the opener of a three-game series at Milwaukee.

Joe Ryan and three relievers struck out 16 batters in a five-hit shutout Friday that improved the Twins' record to 25-20.
