Watford are in talks to sign Chelsea defender Caleb Wiley on loan. The 20-year-old has been playing at Strasbourg, a club that like Chelsea is owned by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, but could see his loan cut short to move to the Championship.

Wiley was loaned by parent club Chelsea to Watford for the remainder of the current season, b oth clubs announced. Caleb Wiley joined Chelsea from MLS’s Atlanta United in summer last year, and was almost immediately sent out on loan to sister-club Strasbourg in Ligue 1. A string of injuries made it so Caleb never got any momentum in France however,
