Oxford United's nine-game unbeaten run came to an end at Turf Moor, after a 1-0 defeat from a Michał Helik own goal. The margin of defeat was narrow and Oxford certainly made their hosts work for the three points, but in the end the victory was enough for Burnley to climb to second in the Championship.

Burnley are all set to host Oxford United in their upcoming English League Championship match on February 5. The Clarets are in third place.

Oxford United face a difficult test at keeping their unbeaten run going when Gary Rowett’s side visit Burnley on Tuesday night. The U’s are without a loss in nine league games after a 1-1 draw at home against Bristol City last time out.
