Ronan O'Gara has revealed that he would have been delighted to join Andy Farrell on the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia this coming summer.

Andy Farrell has suggested that he is “open-minded” about potentially including players based in France, including son Owen, in the British and Irish Lions squad to tour Australia despite potential schedule issues.

Lions head coach Andy Farrell has turned to three of his assistants from the Irish set-up – Simon Easterby, Andrew Goodman and John Fogarty – to form the spine of his coaching team for the tour to Australia.
