Reading some other reviews, some people missed the boat by a long shot...maybe they went to SOUTH 4th Ave. This 6 block stretch between University & 9th Street on NORTH 4th Ave is chock full of small…Full review by Scott B

Not what we expected- very few shops/restaurants/bars. The Link Trolley is free & AC to get there. A good CoOp store for healthy food, but no where to buy a bottle of water. Several shops had gems & …Full review by cindym123

Totally not what we expected. Not much here in the way of good shopping. The travel info. made it seem like a good place to visit before we came...not so. There are just about 2 blocks to walk along…Full review by Rose R
mid-October visit planned (I know - 2020 pushed those of us who procrastinate to plan our escapes), 10/16-20 ,suggestions for Music and/or roof-top socializing? always looking for more 'local' flavor, don't need crowds or extreme adventures - just good memories. Appreciate all good music country/blues/jazz/rock --- current fav is Parker Milshap..

We have been to Tucson many times since my daughter lives there and she knows the best local cuisine. There are so many great restaurants in Tucson it's difficult to narrow down to just a few and it depends on what you like as well, but here are some choices for you: Great quick breakfast downtown - Pie Bird Bakery & Cafe. Great slow food breakfast downtown - Nook Urban Kitchen Great breakfast outside of downtown - Baja Cafe Great breakfast/lunch/dinner - Cup Cafe (inside the Hotel Congress) The best Mexican - El Charro (downtown is the original) Great dinner place - Reilly Restaurant The best coffee place - Hermosa Coffee Roasters If you want great fine dining and willing to drive out of Tucson a little. ...go to Bisbee, AZ. at the Copper Queen Hotel Restaurant. Great breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The oldest continuous running Hotel/restaurant in Arizona. Well worth the drive. Happy dining!
Sorry, I was a visitor too. 4th Avenue is noted for it's eclectic shops, eateries, specialty shops, music venues etc. The local visitors center would be good place to inquire.
Hi, barbpottorff. What would you like to know about this attraction? Hi, Tony - I'll be visiting Tucson for the first time in a couple weeks (Jan 13-20), this 4th Avenue place looks right up my alley. Is it open everyday? Times? Any other antique/flea market/fun little shopping and eating area you would recommend? Thanks!

Things start to open around 9, some at 10. There are a couple of shops on 4th that have vintage items for sale. I would recommend Lindy,s and The Drunken Chicken, both have great food. Lindy’s was featured on the travel channel a few years ago. Also, Brooklyn Pizza is a great Pizza Place. If your up to a real good food experience, The Cup Cafe at The Hotel Congress is great. The Hotel is a great place with a great Tucson History. Dillinger stayed there and was captured there. The walls are full of news articles. 4th Avenue is an interesting place to say the least. It’s a mix of shops and people. Enjoy your stay in Tucson. I might add, you might like to take in The Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. It’s World Renown.
