All Hike Table Mountain guides are registered with the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, and hold accredited qualifications in mountaineering and first-aid. Table Mountain is our office as well as playground. With over 100 years’ Table Mountain hiking and climbing experience between us, we’ve seen the mountain in all its moods and facets. We know its nuances and are intimately acquainted with its terrain. Complementing our experience of the mountain is our experience in dealing with people on the mountain combined with our enthusiasm for sharing the mountain with others. Our defining qualities as Mountain Guides include passion, enthusiasm, attentiveness, competence, a sense of humor, courtesy and friendliness.

It 4.5 hours for the twelve apostles hike. Towards the end I could feel it in my thighs. I’d say you have to be reasonably fit but not athletic. When you contact the company they will ask you questions which will help them advise you which hike would be suitable for you. Hope that helps.
My travel agency informed me that Table Mountain will be closed when we are in Capetown in early August. Is the cable tram closed or is the entire mountain closed then?
