Wish they would have cancelled. Ocean was too rough. It was a mess. Basically, got past surf and paddled into murky water for a hot minute and turned around. Didn't see anything. Not worth the money.Full review by USBandBFan1

Yes, you can kayak solo. It is good that you have kayaked before so you know a little about what to expect. There is no requirement that but it helps to kayak with a partner because it can be tiring doing all of the paddling yourself. The guide is good about waiting for everyone in the group to catch up. if you go solo (which is completely do-able) then just be prepared to work harder to keep up with kayaks with 2 people. Have fun! You will love it.

All things being equal, high tide is generally better than low. The most important factor (and one that only be forecast about 1 week in advance) is swell height. The best wildlife and beauty is outside the caves anyway! Off-season, weekdays, and mornings are our favorite times for the lack of crowds.
