This is the best historical museum of its size I’ve ever experienced. The staffers, Michael and Cody were welcoming and very knowledgeable about all things Civil War.Full review by Michael O

Nice staff, but not a lot to see. This is an old courthouse with a few Civil War photos, some cannon balls. Just not a lot to see.Full review by wiiildbill

Yes, it is open in January. Your ticket allows you to also walk the battlefield. The Field of Lost Shoes movie is also played.

The staff is extremely helpful. Much of the Museum is a giant gradual ramp inside.

Here's a suggestion for Old Town Winchester, tells of the parking. There is a lot of parking around Old Town as well as a ramp, and it's so enjoyable to walk through. I'm not sure of the specific lot you speak of, but there is a page called old town winchester va - push the words together with the traditional ending-it has a great map for all the parking!

I have a 6 pound well behave dog. Is she allowed in the Museum?

If this is a service dog, under ADA, you should be able to bring her in. If she is a pet, unfortunately, no.
