Rueben, I am interested in a fishing adventure for my grandson and myself. He will be 12 years old entering middle school. We feel that this is the age we have our last hook on him . Years to follow, he will not be excited about being with grandma and grandpa. We want this to be an exciting experience fishing for Halibut or if you think the chances would be better with Salmon OK, but he is really set on Halibut. I am not sure of all the logistics , but we will arrive in Anchorage July 2nd with the intention of going to your area for the fishing experience. Please, are we going to the right place for the Halibut ? For us this is a one time giant financial venture. I want him to experienced catching several halibut, is this realistic ? Provide me with ideas the lodging for three ,two nights, Halibut fee, freezing the catch to send home,and anything you can share.
